Knee ankle foot orthoses (KAFOs) are used by people with knee weakness to allow them to walk further with greater stability and confidence or in less pain. We use the latest carbon fibre technology to ensure they are as lightweight as possible. Due to carbon being far stronger than plastic not only are the KAFOs lighter but also less cumbersome and so fit under clothes easier.
The most common conditions that we treat with KAFOs are polio and multiple sclerosis. Having a good support can miximise mobility at the same time making people less dependant on other supports such as crutches or trolleys.
